Hard Work Pays Off
Now as cliche as it sounds, hard work, perseverance, and grit do pay off. I am an 18-year-old who has worked at Chick-fil-A for the past two years. Not only am I the youngest in the kitchen, but I am also one of the most influential leaders within the restaurant. I am here to say that age is never a determining factor for success or respect in your career. I have gained the reputation of being dependable, being a positive influencer, being a guy who gets results, being someone who gets stuff done. Day in and day out, I have always poured 110% of my energy into my work. It was only through this due diligence that I have received praise and respect, but it has also allowed new doors to be opened in my career. (More on the specifics later). I just wanted to take today to remind you that people are watching, your peers, your parents, your boss, everyone is watching. Hard work does not go unnoticed and always gets rewarded. So I encourage you to get out there and work, work like you've never worked before and set yourself apart from the crowd. The results and the value you bring to the company are what matter the most.
